At RecoverED, we are dedicated to helping students in need.
We are a [notional not-for-profit organisation] that directly partners with schools, community groups and councils to match student needs following a disaster. Leveraging generous donations from the broader community, we bridge the gap between donors and affected students.
Started by Jasper Groth in 2024, the organisation has grown over the past year, with our RecoverED kits now through initial prototype stage and ready for launch. Jasper saw an opportunity to re-use and repurpose old textbooks, while also helping students devastated by the impacts of disasters.

“I started RecoverED because I saw an opportunity to make a difference. I think that’s the greatest misunderstanding in life … people think it takes an army to drive change. In fact, it just takes a good idea, and bit of hard work and a passion to see it through.”
Jasper Groth
Prototype Development
Throughout the kit development stage, Jasper worked closely with students, teachers and a local School Principal, to understand how best to support students in need. Through prototyping and experimentation, he developed the kits that we use today.
Textbook Matching
Our unique textbook matching service and digital online warehouse grew out of Jasper’s initial idea to re-use and repurpose old textbooks. From that humble beginning, it is now a practical and scalable solution to a growing global issue.
One Spark to Ignite Change
RecoverED and the amazing work of Jasper Groth highlight that one student, with a passion for helping others, and a drive to overcome challenges, can genuinely make a difference – both within Australia and overseas.
